As the only Austrian working group in the field of medical cannabis to date, ARGE CANNA sees itself as a non-profit, independent and non-governmental organisation. The association, which was founded in 2014, supports research into the medical use of cannabinoids and advocates appropriate regulations regarding the distribution of cannabis drugs within a state health insurance system.
How is the Arge Canna supported?
The community is supported by NGOs, associations as well as political parties, tradesmen, private individuals and cannabis patients from all over Austria. The association strives for a controlled release of patient self-care with cannabis in the course of necessary treatment procedures.
Tests and certification
In the course of routine laboratory tests, ARGE CANNA independently tests and certifies cannabis products on the market which both contribute to improving human health and comply with the corresponding quantities of active ingredients. Not all cannabidiol preparations legally available on the market are rated as qualitatively suitable. Laboratory analyses have often been used to investigate grievances. Label and packaging information is not always congruent with the actual product content.
What do previous test results show?
A study published in November 2017 by ARGE CANNA has examined 46 CBD/CBDa hemp oils. The results of the extensive test can be seen from the graph and showed that 21 products were within the recognised range, while 25 oils contained up to 30 percent less CBD than indicated on the packaging.
Only three – including cannhelp – received the AC Seal of Approval.
Only the products highlighted in green on the chart deliver what they promise – all other CBDs have a significantly lower CBD content according to test results.
Some products do not live up to their claims, and cannhelp products with 5% and 10% organic oil, Greenfield with 50% CBD Gold and Bio Bloom with 4%, 6% and 8% Co2 extract were recognised as noticeable test winners.
Only those products certified by ARGE CANNA with the AC quality mark are subjected to strict laboratory tests and are considered trustworthy due to their quality controls. We are pleased to have received this certification and are in favour of such careful controls and verifications in relation to cannabis and its medicinal use and are committed to maintaining our existing quality standards and continuously improving our reliability, trust and precision.
What distinguishes cannhelp quality:
For us as a company, the well-being of people is the focus. That is why we only use selected ingredients for our production. Our production is subject to strict quality controls and our production methods are constantly being further developed.
In order to guarantee maximum independence, our raw materials and products are analyzed and tested by external partners.
As with vegetables or food, the flowers, leaves and stems of the hemp plant used to extract cannabinoids and terpenes may contain pesticides, herbicides, moulds and other organic and inorganic toxins. Moreover, nature does not produce all plants in the same way. The content of cannabinoids, terpenes, antioxidants and other substances in a typical hemp phytocomplex can vary greatly. It is our duty as manufacturers to select the best raw materials and to ensure a consistent end product.
Our products are tested exactly by batch and the exact composition can be seen on our homepage on the basis of the MHD. We are currently testing our products for cannabinoids, terpenes, microorganisms, heavy metals, pesticides and solvent residues.
